Hamilton Park Backyard

This property was a unique undertaking. When our clients moved in, they knew they needed to do something with their multi-level, overgrown, shady backyard to create a functional space for the family.  The main goals were a space for lounge seating and dining with an outdoor kitchen, along with a safe play area for their child. We began by removing over 20 yards of soil and debris, along with 50’ tall pine trees to clean and level the area.

Project Elements: Nicolock pavers in a herringbone pattern, retaining wall and steps with bluestone caps, native and low maintenance plantings, vertical cedar fence, custom shed, and accent lighting.

Client testimonial:

“Greencity Design completely transformed our outdoor space from something completely unusable, overgrown and dangerous to our toddler, to an amazing play, dining, lounging and BBQ space! From design to execution (in the face of COVID restrictions and delays) Nick and the team were on point, communicated everyday and worked with our neighbours to ensure a respectful environment in our neighborhood. Nick was on site 99% of the days rain, hail or shine and always available on the phone if anything came up (like the audible we pulled on him the same day to reduce the retaining wall height!)

Challenges we tackled as a team. Ideas and advice always shared. Overall a great experience.”
